Central BID is the Business Improvement District which supports retail, leisure and hospitality businesses in Birmingham city centre.
Our work includes security patrols, street cleaning, retail crime prevention, marketing & promotion and a warm welcome to visitors to the city centre.
Running for five years between 2022 to 2027, Central BID’s fourth term prioritises safety, security, footfall and a great welcome to Birmingham city centre for visitors from across the region.
Our Business Support Team provides a welcome reassurance for businesses, staff and visitors, while our programme of deep-cleaning helps brighten the streets for a more attractive environment.
The BID’s City Safe digital radio network keeps businesses connected and feeds into the West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council CCTV operations to help prevent retail theft and anti-social behaviour.
We fund and install family trails, seasonal decorations, floral features and more to help central Birmingham look attractive at all times of the year.
Our social media platforms promote our member businesses and city centre attractions to thousands of followers across the Midlands.
We can provide resilience messaging, SMS alerts and other means of communication to businesses when required.
