Rudell Jewellers to open in Birmingham promising “luxurious addition to city centre”

A renowned Midlands jewellers selling Swiss luxury Patek Philippe watches is opening a new Birmingham city centre store.

Rudell the Jewellers is already a well-known name in Harborne and Wolverhampton and is now expanding into New Street, at the entrance of Burlington Arcade ahead of Christmas.

The third showroom for the watch and jewellery retailer comes after years of waiting to find the ideal premises in the heart of Birmingham’s central shopping area, Rudell bosses said. The store, which will feature some of the world’s most prestigious jewellery brands and iconic designer names, has an opening planned for November.

Work to transform the recently vacated premises is about to start at Burlington Arcade. The new jewellery showroom will span two floors and 4,000 square feet. Rudell said it would be “the exclusive home of Patek Philippe in the city”.

Rudell’s Managing Director, Jon Weston, said “I have been looking for the perfect premises in Birmingham for some time, but nowhere had the right feel to it – until now.

“I am delighted that we will be partnering with Patek Philippe, coupled with renowned jewellery, Rudell quality, service and value in the heart of the city on New Street. This will be a very exciting luxurious addition to the city centre”

Founded in Wolverhampton in the 1930s, Rudell the Jewellers went on to open a Harborne store in the 1980’s.

Nina Meeks of Hortons’ Estate Limited, which owns and manages the property, said: “Rudell is an historic local brand and a welcome addition to the Burlington Arcade. Its arrival greatly complements a strong collective of existing occupiers and is sure to prove extremely popular with consumers.”

Adrian Lurshay, Managing Director of Patek Philippe UK added: “We feel honoured to be part of Rudell’s expansion, being present now at the new Birmingham store. The level of commitment and service to their clients is second to none and we are confident that the clients will enjoy a unique experience in the new Patek Philippe space.”
