Skin and haircare products, greeting cards and children’s books are among an array of items aimed at African, Caribbean and other Black communities in this attractive Great Western Arcade shop in Birmingham.

The Black Pounds Project Community Gift Shop features unique and specialist goods from over 80 small businesses under one roof.

There’s unique items at every turn from exquisite hand-made jewellery to clothes, artwork and bags.

BB naturals skin and haircare products, which is free from sulfates, parabens, animal products, waxes and silicones, is also sold at the independent shop.

Even more striking is the framed letter by the front door from former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to CJ Lloyd Webley, who is behind The Black Pounds Project.

In it, the PM acknowledges how the project has mentored people from diverse communities along with supported men struggling with mental health issues and children from disadvantaged areas.

You can find the Black Pounds Project Community Gift Shop at 20 Great Western Arcade in Birmingham city centre.
