Central BID has been announced as one of the sponsors for the Bulls in the City art trail, coming to Birmingham this summer.

Birmingham Hospice has partnered with Wild in Art, the global producer of art trails who have produced Central BID’s seasonal trails, to create a new, showstopping trail for Birmingham in the summer of 2025. It is called Bulls in the City.

Based on the Bullring Bull, the trail will see a stampede of 40 fibreglass, larger-than-life bull sculptures descend on the city between July and September during the school holidays. They will then be auctioned off to raise vital funds for the hospice.

Central BID’s support means one of the colourful bulls will be situated in the heart of the city centre at a location to be revealed soon. The trail takes place from Wednesday July 16 to Sunday September 14 across Birmingham.

The trail will generate a huge buzz throughout Birmingham, supporting local businesses as well as Birmingham Hospice, the city’s primary provider of adult hospice care.

Steve Hewlett, Manager of Central BID Birmingham, said: “Central BID is proud to support Birmingham Hospice with the exciting Bulls in the City trail taking place this summer.

“Sculpture trails produced by the world-renowned organisation, Wild in Art, and their artists, are always hugely popular with visitors and raise much-needed funds for charity.”

Other iconic Brummie businesses and organisations have signed up to sponsor a sculpture, including Selfridges, Colmore BID, Brindleyplace and Paradise.

Birmingham Hospice supports local people living with a terminal diagnosis, offering expert palliative and end of life care for free to communities in and around Birmingham.

Rebecca Richards, Senior Events Manager at Birmingham Hospice, said: “Due to the national funding crisis affecting all hospices in the UK this year, it’s more important than ever we raise vital funds and awareness for our charity.

“Bulls in the City will be fantastic for our charity, but it’s also a great opportunity for local businesses to get involved in what is set to be the biggest and best art trail our city has ever seen!”
