Find Santa’s nine reindeer of Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen across Birmingham city centre until January 6.
Brum’s Christmas Reindeer Trail has launched bringing fun for all ages during the festive season. They can be found from Great Western Arcade to Grand Central, the Mailbox and Piccadilly Arcade.
Perfect for festive selfies, there’s also reindeer based at Birmingham’s famous Frankfurt Christmas Market, Cass Art in Corporation Street, at Ice Skate Birmingham in Centenary Square and the charming Christmas in Cathedral Square Market.
But for those seeking out Rudolph, he can be found at Selfridges in Bullring. With dashing star-quality, Rudolph even has a bright red nose glistening with 5000 sparkling beads along with shimmering paint on his body and gold leaf on his antlers.
Paper maps can be found at each reindeer, in various stores across the city centre including Selfridges, Cass Art and the Christmas pop-up shop in Great Western Arcade. Or Brum’s Christmas Reindeer Trail can be downloaded from this website here.
Central BID, in partnership with arts trail experts Wild in Art, have created the Christmas attraction, which will also support Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
A children’s story called Brum’s Reindeer Rescue has been created by Birmingham author Ruth Millington to tie in with the trail and features local sights and a well-loved Brummie icon.
A special story booklet will be given to young patients at Birmingham Children’s Hospital this Christmas but families can also download a copy to read to children at home from the Central BID website here.
Artists have made each reindeer completely unique and you can read more about the creative behind each one here.
Remember you can follow the free Brum Christmas Reindeer Trail from now until January 6, if looking for ideas to keep the family entertained over the festive season.
