Birmingham’s most terrifying VR experience launches in time for Halloween

Birmingham virtual reality venue, Sandbox VR, is launching the third instalment of its ground-breaking zombie series, Deadwood, ready for the Halloween season.

The newest instalment of the famed zombie series has been described as “the most terrifying yet”.

This adrenaline-fueled experience, PHOBIA, will be available to play from Wednesday 16th October and bookings are now open via SandboxVR.com

Guests can expect to be virtually transported into a derelict medical facility, originally designed to treat patients fears through exposure therapy, but now crawling with unprecedented, mind-bending horrors, surrounding guests in 360° nightmares. Facing new terrors around every corner, the aim is to battle hordes of enemies whilst fighting to save survivors. PHOBIA is the first psychological horror experience from the VR specialists, as it takes guests on a journey through their own fears, where not everything that is seen can be trusted.

Sandbox VR, located in Bullring & Grand Central is a futuristic VR experience for groups of up to six people where guests can see and physically interact with their teammates inside the experience, just like the real world. They have 9 experiences available including Netflix’s official Squid Game Virtuals created in partnership with the award-winning Netflix show. The experience is the perfect group activity for weekend plans, birthday parties and work Christmas parties.
